Normative Scoring Questions
Each questionnaire contains a set of core questions that allow for comparisons with national norms, industry group norms (where available), and demographic norms. Employers can select which comparison groups are most representative of their workforce.

Survey Administration
Surveys are self-administered using our software-as-a-service (SaaS) system which includes survey deployment; survey pre-testing; email invitations and reminder notices; online data collection; field updates; and automated reports. Our SaaS model allows us to use affordable pricing schedules so that any size organization has an opportunity to use this valuable survey tool.

Automated Reports
Our proprietary reporting system automatically generates diagnostic scores for the selected normative comparison groups. Scores are shown with rating interpretations and side-by-side charts of the results.

Archiving of Data
Survey response data is automatically saved for a period of two years from the launch date of a survey so that organizations can compare their survey results between different survey administrations and better understand the success of intervention programs or new initiatives.
Normative Express® is an on-demand measurement system for conducting employee satisfaction surveys and other employee opinion surveys. The online scoring system used by Normative Express® is an exclusive collaboration between Amplitude Research® and the industrial/organizational program at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). All indexes and norms were updated in early 2009. In addition, industry and demographic norms are now available for more precise analyses.
Our core product is the Job Descriptive Index (JDI) and related Job in General Scale (JIG), which measure employee job satisfaction using the gold standard in normative scoring indexes. The JDI, which has been recognized as the most-respected measure of job satisfaction in the world, was first introduced in 1969 and since then has been used by over 1,000 organizations in both the private and public sector. The JIG was developed in the early 1990's as a complement to the JDI and provides an overall evaluation of how employees feel about their jobs.
Each employee satisfaction survey contains a set of standardized questions about employees' perceptions of the work itself, pay, co-workers, promotions, and supervision, as well as overall job satisfaction. Employers can use this information to identify strategies that improve employee morale, have their employees become more productive, and move the organization forward to compete effectively.

Revised Indexes: The scales and normative data used by Normative Express® were updated in early 2009. The update also created new industry group and demographic norms for the JDI and JIG, and establishes new norms for Trust in Management (TIM), Stress in General (SIG), and Intention to Quit (ITQ). The updated JDI and JIG norms, including industry group and demographic norms, will be available in Q2 of 2009. Indexes for TIM, SIG and ITQ will be released shortly thereafter.
